(Henderson, Ky.) July 12, 2017 – As of August 1, 2017, Island Medical Management (IMM) will provide physician management and staffing services to the emergency department of Methodist Hospital, a community-focused health center located in Henderson, Kentucky.

Methodist Hospital was first founded in 1946 in Western Kentucky. Today, the facility consists of two hospitals, including a 192-bed hospital in Henderson, and a 25-bed critical access hospital in Morganfield. It is the hospital’s mission to partner with its medical team to, “...place an emphasis on safety, compassionate care, high-quality health services, and affordable treatment options in order to address the mental, spiritual, and physical well-being of patients.”

On average, the emergency room at Methodist Hospital sees 30,000 patients a year. The ED is staffed 24/7 by physicians and nurses ready to receive and immediately treat patients in critical condition. (Bluefield, W. Va.) July 28, 2016 – As of August 2016, Island Medical Management (IMM) will provide physician management and staffing services to the emergency department of Bluefield Regional Medical Center located in Bluefield, West Virginia.

Bluefield Regional Medical Center (BRMC) is a 92-bed, short term acute care hospital servicing southern West Virginia and southwestern Virginia. The facility’s services include inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and emergency care. BRMC is a community health center, as well as a teaching facility with traditional rotating internships for osteopathic medical students.

The emergency department at BRMC hosts 25 beds and a fast track program, serving approximately 31,000 patients each year. The department is proud of their excellent seasoned nursing staff, and their pledge to ensure patients are seen by a medical professional in 30 minutes or less. The ED’s wait time is provided to the public on the Bluefield Regional Medical Center website, where the number is based on a rolling average and updated every 15 minutes.
